Vickery Honored as Community of the Year
Vickery, located in South Forsyth County has been honored locally, regionally and nationally as "Community of the Year". The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association recently named Vickery "Community of the Year" at their annual awards ceremony in November. The Urban Land Institute recognized Hedgewood's Vickery neighborhood at their annual gala as "2006 Development of Excellence", praising Hedgewood for high quality, classic architecture that preserved ample greenspace. In addition, Vickery has been honored at the National level as Community of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders. This prestigious award recognized Vickery and Hedgewood for their innovation and success in providing a "sense of place", housing choice, incorporation of land use, pedestrian friendly environment and protection and access to the natural environment.
